Phase contrast annuli were properly centered with the phase objectives. Excellent quality phase contrast microscopy was achieved.
We are including the needed tools for centering the phase annulus rings.
This unit also has the required lens for viewing the rings during alignment
Fluorescent Illumination:
Upgraded HBO 100 Lamp Housing and External Power Supply with included 100W Mercury Bulb.
Luminous Field Iris Diaphragm on epifluorescence light path.
Shutter for epifluorescence illumination.
IR heatshield (epi-illumination light path) is properly installed to protect internal optics.
Includes IR filter on the slider for additional protection, specifically to reduce photo bleaching on the fluorescent specimen.
Proper optical alignment was achieved in the epi illumination light path. These frames often have internal problems and are not able to achieve alignment, ultimately affecting imaging quality.
Fluorescence Dichroic Filters:
Filter Slider with three settings. FITC and two Open (for Brightfield and Phase Contrast).
The two open areas have the proper blocker disks inserted for eye protection.
Additional filter sets can easily be added in either or both of the open spaces.
The FITC (blue excitation) filter set looks in excellent condition with no visible wear.
Transmitted Illumination: Brightfield – Phase Contrast
Rotary Turret style light Condenser with phase contrast.
Long Working Distance Condenser – Numerical Aperature. 0.3 N.A. Excellent for larger specimen vessels.
Settings for: Ph1, Ph2 and Brightfield. With iris diaphragm. With centering ability.

Objective Lenses:
10x. Achroplan 10x/0.25, ∞/-. Ph1. Phase contrast. This gave excellent images in brightfield and phase contrast but is not recommended for fluorescence.
20x. LD Achrostigmat 20x / 0.30, ∞/0-2mm. Ph1. Phase Contrast. This gave excellent images in brightfield and phase but is not recommended for fluorescence.
40x. LD Achroplan 40x / 0.60, Korr, ∞/0-2 mm. Correction collar. Ph2. Phase Contrast. This gave excellent images in brightfield and phase but it is not recommended to use for fluorescence.
40x. Olympus Plan N 40x / 0.65, ∞/0.17. FN22. UIS2. Spring. Made in Japan. This was tested and works fine for brightfield and fluorescence on this microscope. This objective is relatively new and in excellent condition. Although this is Olympus, and not Zeiss, this gave excellent images in brightfield and fluorescence so we are including it.

Optional Accessories:
We have a wide variety of optional scientific cameras, both monochrome and color, with and without Peltier cooling.
Other stage mounting plates are available for use with well plates, other sizes of petri dishes and cell culture vessels.
Other objectives can be configured.
We can install brand new Chroma hard coated filters (with lifetime warranty) instead of the used filters that are included. Cost is USD $450/ea for the dichroic filter set (emission filter, dichroic mirror, barrier filter).
