Note about the Different AxioPlan Models:

• There are several “AxioPlan” models. Before making a purchase, it is best to make a good comparison and not confuse them.
• The oldest version is the normal “Axioplan”. This can be a West Germany made (really old) or a little newer Germany made. They also made this as the “Axiophot”. The Axiophot has a huge head that has a lot of obsolete 35mm film equipment built in. Except for the huge frame, it has the same frame body as the Axioplan.
• Next, you have the “Axioplan-2”. A quick look at this model will clearly show differences.
• Then, you have the latest version, which is what this ad is for, the “Plan-2 imaging”. This version has a lot of improved features. So don’t simply compare prices with this ad and the older versions as you’re not comparing apples to apples!

Motorization:

• This is not the version with the motorization. We have that unit sold separately.
• This unit is non-motorized.

Trinocular Head:

• Trinocular viewing head.
• Pair of Pl 10x/25 eyepieces. Each with diopter adjustment.
• 30 Degree angle head.
• 25mm wide field of view (FOV) eyepieces.
• 3-Position prism slider.
• Splitting Prism settings: 100:0; 50:50; 0:100

Camera Equipment:

• This ad does not include a camera.
• However, for demonstration purposes, a Zeiss MRc AxioCam color camera was installed. This, or the Zeiss MRm AxioCam monochrome camera is the recommended camera to use for this microscope.
• We have some cameras available, so contact us if you need a camera.
• Includes c-mount adapter: TV2/3”C 0.63x Part number 1069-414.

Objectives and Nosepiece:

• 7-Place, non-motorized Nosepiece.

This nosepiece does not come with DIC slots. If you want to do DIC, we have other units made for that. This unit does come configured for Phase Contrast Microscopy.
RMS thread size nosepiece. Not the larger M27.

• Plan-NeoFluar 2.5x/0.075, Infinity/0.17. Part#440310.
• Plan-NeoFluar 5x/0.15, Infinity/0.17. Part#440320.

You still have one empty space for another objective lens. We have a large variety of objectives to select from. You may want to add a 100x Oil Immersion, at extra cost.

Condenser:

• Manual Condenser
• 0.9 numerical aperature.
• Flip-out top lens (Great for low power objectives, like for under 10x. Essential for the low power 2.5x scanning objective.)
• Achromatic-aplanatic universal condenser.

Five Settings: brightfield, darkfield, phase 1, phase 2, phase 3.

Darkfield Microscopy:

• Capable of darkfield microscopy. Engage the darkfield setting in the condenser. All of the objectives will then have darkfield illumination.

General Specifications:

• XY Mechanical Stage with right hand controls.
  Non motorized stage. The stage was new-in-box and was installed on this microscope to replace a motorized stage.
• Focusing is done manually by the coarse and fine focusing knobs. Focusing is not motorized.

Frame Marking:

• 100V – 240V. Capable of either voltage.

Fluorescence Illumination:

• Lamp Housing: HBO 100, Part number 1007-980.
• Power Supply: ebq 100 isolated, by LEJ JENA GmbH, 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz.
• Light path shutter: part number 45 21 74.

Reflector Turret:

• Has 8 spaces for cubes.
• Motorized selection of reflector cube is operated by 4 buttons, two on each side of the frame, by the focusing knobs.

Brand New Filters:

• We can install your choice of fluorescence filter sets. With the listed price, we will install three filter cube sets consisting of brand new Chroma filters: DAPI, FITC, TRITC.
• You may request any others to fit your needs. The filter sets we use now are Chroma’s hard coated, which means they have a lifetime guarantee against photo bleaching. This is a new technology and allows greater light transmissibility than the original filters. The original style filters that are not hard coated will fade rather quickly and give an uneven light spectra over time, with overall reduction of transmissibility.

Transmitted Illumination:

• HAL 100, 12V100W Halogen Illuminator, part 447219 and 1039-685. Internal power supply in the frame.

General Notes:

• Microscope is in good condition. We guarantee all functions work fine.

Reflection module cube.
HAL 100 halogen lamp in upper position (where the HBO 100W mercury lamp is now).May use the halogen lamp that is on the bottom or purchase another solely for the top.
